Finis Food Processing Equipment is, as its name suggests, a company that develops equipment for the food processing industry. Since Finis was founded in 1924, they have been producing peeling and cutting machines for all kinds of products. Finis specializes in engineering process solutions, ranging from stand-alone machines to complete production lines, for the international fruit and vegetable industry.

They continuously invest in the development of new machines and systems to improve the operational efficiency of its customers and the quality of their finished products.

Easy installation in 5 to 10 minutes

For some time Finis had been looking for a remote access solution before they came across IXON. They were looking for a solution that was simpler, so that customers could be helped faster and also easily monitor their machines themselves, without having to contact an external party to do so. In addition, it was important that the platform be future-proof.

In IXON Cloud, they found the suitable all-in-one solution. Getting ahead with customers through data logging

Remote access is happily used daily at Finis. With IXON Cloud data points, they can see the status of their onion machines live. Among other things, they can see what the machine is doing and how fast it is running. With this data, Finis can proactively and together with the customer stabilize or even increase the performance of the production line. 'You just have to log into the customer's portal and then you can easily see all the information and data you need,' says Arends. In many cases, the above approach results in increased capacity and improved efficiency as a result. Customers also save maintenance costs and experience less downtime.

Using IXON Cloud Logging gives Finis an edge with customers. Arends says the following about this: 'As a machine builder, we notice that our customers strive for as little downtime as possible. After all, that costs time and money, not only for them but ultimately also for us.' Customers regularly ask if Finis can look and think with them. 'Before, we had no data to analyze and had to go searching. With IXON Cloud Logging we have already logged the data of a production line so we only have to log in, which can be done via our smartphone, to get to their data when the customer calls. This way you are better prepared per customer situation and you make the customer happy because you are actively thinking along. This is immediately also a good reason for the customer to work with us as a machine builder,' says Arends.
