As a software developer, you every now and then like to get some tips & tricks from another software expert, or have someone do a code review. This is also the feedback we got from several machine builders who are developing their own integrations in IXON Cloud.
That’s why we’ve come up with a new service called Premium Development Support. With this, you'll have access to a dedicated IXON software specialist and a set of development tools to help you build your IXON Cloud apps quicker and with less hassle.
A dedicated IXON expert is available to answer all your development questions, provide architectural guidance and sample codes, perform code reviews and coach you during the entire software development cycle.
IXON Check is a tool that tests your current network to see whether an IXrouter or IXON VPN Client will work in that network. It automatically checks e.g. the configuration of the default gateway and the DNS servers, pings the IXON hostnames, tests the internet connection for packet loss and verifies the IXON API communication and MQTT connection.
The Active Alarms Overview app provides you with an overview of all machines with active alarms. It also displays the start time of the alarms. This helps service teams to efficiently monitor their installations and identify areas that require immediate attention.
The Active Alarms Overview app can be installed via the IXON Marketplace.
Tip of the month
You can access a server with Windows File Sharing on the machine network (LAN) from the corporate network (WAN) by adding a firewall port forward for port 445. The WAN and LAN side of the IXrouter are separated by an internal firewall. However, you can allow local WAN-to-LAN traffic by adding a port forward. This lets you access the machine from inside your local network, without having to establish a VPN connection first.
