In this edition of our Employee Spotlight, we sat down with Tobias Doesburg, Account Manager, to learn more about his role, what inspires him, and what it’s like to be part of the IXON team.
Tobias: “When I was working at my previous job as a business developer for a small SaaS company in my hometown of Den Bosch, I felt the itch to move to a slightly larger company - though definitely not a massive corporate. Stan (the recruiter) sent me a message on LinkedIn, and we had a call on a Friday late afternoon, February 9th. The Tuesday a week later, I had my first interview in Beugen, and that same Friday I had a second interview, after which we immediately decided to join forces. Just a week afterthat, I had my official first day.”
"I’m standing on the frontlines of the fourth industrial revolution," is what I always tell great-aunts when they ask me what I do at family birthdays. Luckily, that usually stops them from asking any further questions. What that actually means on a day-to-day basis is that I mainly help machine builders and system integrators with their remote access and IoT goals, managing the sales process for customers in the eastern part of the Netherlands."
"Since IXON started in the Netherlands, we have the largest customer base in this region. Despite that, we continue to grow steadily here year after year. That’s what I’m most proud of—that we’re able to achieve that as a team."
As a true people person, Tobias brings positive energy to our sales team. He combines his commercial drive with a healthy dose of humor, making customers and colleagues feel at ease around him right away.
